Dear TCGA Colleagues,


The January 2012 Firehose analysis run has been uploaded and will be available
in the tcga4yeo tree pending internal mirroring by the DCC.  This analysis run
was based upon version 2012_01_24 of the Firehose stddata package, and is
described in more detail on our dashboard at

and accompanying release notes.  The highlights this month are:

  . 6 new pipelines: miRseq & mRNAseq clustering; full scatter/gather Paradigm

  . Our pipeline analyses reports are now linked directly to our WWW dashboard.
    This is a major step forward in accessibility, as it allows anyone in the
    world to peruse all of the public results we generate, without needing to
    obtain TCGA credentials or download a single archive first; the dashboard
    for this run, alone, contains 138 analysis reports, all accessible with
    a single click from your desktop browser.  We hope this furthers the TCGA
    mission by lowering entry barriers, thereby helping to stimulate interest
    in and broaden the impact of TCGA data & analyses.
