Dear TCGA Colleagues,


Version 2011_12_06 of the Firehose stddata package has been uploaded and will
be available in the tcga4yeo tree pending internal mirroring by the DCC.  The
highlights of this release include:

    . bundling of more than 2500 mutation samples into the package (which
      reflects all mutation data that is known to us at this time)

    . to simplify data retrieval, our dashboard now links directly to
      the DCC locations from which the corresponding archives may be
      downloaded (protected data access credentials are still required)

    . a Release Notes page has been added

We are also nearing completion of a mechanism whereby our stddata packages
will reflect with 100% fidelity all of the redactions and rescissions
published in the DCC annotations database; this should be available by
our second January stddata run.
